I-20 Renewal Summer 2022

Your current I-20 is only good for the duration of your Auburn Global program. In order to get your new I-20, you will need to fill out and submit several documents. The deadline for Summer 2022 submission is July 20th, 2022.

Please read the entire page and follow the instructions to download, complete, and submit the necessary forms. Your Student Services Advisor (SSA) is available to help you if you have any trouble.

1. Bank Statement or Financial Guarantee

All students who are matriculating or have an I-20 that is expiring need to submit a personal bank statement.

The amount on the bank statement must total the equivalent of $47,000 or more.

The statement must be valid and recent. We CANNOT accept bank statements that are dated before March 1st, 2022.

If the bank statement belongs to another person's account (ex. your mother, father, uncle, etc), then that person needs to complete the Statement of Finance (either Undergraduate or Graduate). See below.

If you are a sponsored student, such as from Saudi Arabia or UAE, you will need a new Financial Guarantee from your sponsor. This document will be accepted in place of your bank statement.

2. Undergraduate Statement of Finance (use this form if you are pursing a Bachelor's degree)

The Undergraduate Statement of Finance is a document that provides the university with complete and accurate information about the funds available to you as an international student.

This financial verification is required of any student at a university applying for a new I-20

The person whose name is on the Bank Statement must SIGN this document with a handwritten or electronic signature. The signature line CANNOT be typed.

3. Graduate Statement of Finance (use this form if you are pursing a Master's degree)

A bank statement proves to U.S. immigration that you have the funds necessary to pursue an education in the United States.

This financial verification is required of any student at a university applying for a new I-20.

The person whose name is on the Bank Statement must SIGN this document with a handwritten or electronic signature. The signature line CANNOT be typed.

4. If your I-20 expires in August, you will be issued an extended I-20 first, and then receive another I-20 after you successfully complete your Auburn Global program.

The Affidavit of Support provides Auburn Global with complete and accurate information about the funds available to you.

The person whose name is on the Bank Statement must SIGN this document with a handwritten or electronic signature. The signature line CANNOT be typed.

Final Step: Once you have completed the forms (make sure they have a real signature!), you need to submit them to your SSA before the deadline- July 20th, 2022!
