ITA Senior Player of the Year Award
Anna Novikova from the University of Indianapolis has been named the 2022 ITA Senior Player of the Year.
As a four-year player with the Greyhounds, Novikova's development over her career has been outstanding.
Playing within the top three positions of the UIndy lineup throughout her career, Novikova has achieved a 53-9 career record, including a 13-3 mark this season from the No. 1 position.
In 2022 she earned First-Team All-GLVC honors and was named the conference's Player of the Year.
The native of Ukraine has turned the very difficult situation back home into a strength, and used it as her motivation to fight even more every single match. There hasn't been a day where she was down at practice or at matches, she turned that into a big fire that sends a message to everyone about the warrior spirit she carries.
A Letter From Head Coach Malik Tabet
I am so proud of what Anna has accomplished since she’s been with us at the University of Indianapolis.
She was only 17 years old when she arrived at UIndy, and in her time span amongst us, we have enjoyed seeing Anna grow, on and off the courts. She has become a true leader, mentor and a great ambassador of our institution and tennis programs.
She is destined to be a true champion in life.
