Iphy Chinedu Victor (born June 16, 1997), popularly known as O.L is a Nigerian-born singer, songwriter and producer. His sound is a fusion of Afrobeats, RnB, Dancehall, Hiphop and other Genres which he collectively identifies as Afro-fusion. O.L has always been a songbird but didn't start doing music professionally until 2016 while schooling in Ghana. In 2017, he released his first official single titled "HIGH". However, his first crack at the spotlight came in 2018 when he dropped a series of viral cover songs; Sarkodie's "Biibi Ba", Wizkid's "Fever" and King Promise's "Selfish". The Fever cover gained him a level of underground success with over 120,000 combined views on YouTube, admiration from A-List acts; the most notable being Mr Eazi, The Selfish cover secured him a spot in the coveted Empawa100 competition as one of the few artistes selected for funding. He released a single under EmpawaAfrica titled "RIHANNA" which has so far garnered over 120,000 streams organically across digital streaming platforms.
His journey so far has been on a steady rise. He released 3 singles in 2019 (SELASIE, RIHANNA and SAGAWAGA) which have gained a certain level of commercial success. The success of SELASIE earned him a nomination of 'Introlude song of the Quarter' by Muse Africa'. He also released 2 singles in 2020 (KNOW and MAAME). MAAME is his latest debut single. Produced and mastered by one of the Hitmaker Producers in the US, NEKTUNEZ.
O.L releases another debut single TROUBLE. TROUBLE speaks on the vulnerability a guarded person exposes themselves to by falling in love as O.L said in an interview.
O.L stays a promising talent that is bound to take Africa by storm in a few years and is working tirelessly to make that dream a reality.
