6 pupils from our class had a great first week at Science Club Tuesday.We planted seeds in a hydro grower! We can’t wait to see what happens to them each week.
In PSHE this week we looked at how our actions effect others. We thought of how other people would feel in different situations and other ways we could have responded.
In Science we reviewed what different materials are made from. We couldn’t believe how many different materials we had in our classroom. We then looked for different solids, liquids and gases also. Great investigating Year 4!
In history we started our new topic by looking at a photograph. We were asked to think about what we could see and where it was taken. Year 4 quickly realised it was an old photograph but were not sure when it was taken. When we looked at an old map we realised it had a coal mine and was actually Benwell!
We then went on to look at the jobs that some children had in the pits. We read an extract from an interview and used and applied our knowledge to wrote our own versions imagining that we worked in the pit. Great work Year 4!
