Anthony Chung has signed to play football for Indiana University in the fall. Chung elaborated on his commitment to the university by saying, “I have always dreamed of playing a sport in college. Sports have always been a part of my life since the time I was like three years old. It’s just exciting to be doing a sport and getting an education and doing something I love.” It's not just his sport that brought him to the college but also his sister went to Indiana. Also, he chose Indiana because “I love the coaches and they seemed to have an interest in me. I took the opportunity that was given,” Chung said.

Khristain Hoard will be continuing his education and will be playing soccer at Loras College in Dubuque, Iowa. Hoard said that he chose Loras because, “the great winning culture that the soccer program has, their ability to win the tournament every single year and win their conference but then also they are very prestigious with their academics.” Being a student-athletes at the college level takes tons of dedication and rigor on and off the field. Hoard’s favorite memory from Homestead soccer is his freshman year when the team beat Marquette in the playoffs.

“I’m looking forward to meeting new people from different areas and experiencing college life” said Maddie Dudan, St. Norbert College Women’s Soccer signee. St. Norbert College is a Catholic, Liberal Arts College that is located in De Pere, Wisconsin that offers Division III athletics. Dudan said, “I chose SNC because the campus is beautiful and everyone was extremely friendly when I toured. Also, the science and study abroad programs are really great. The food is ranked 4th best in the nation for colleges which is a bonus.” There is no doubt that college is a big transition for everyone. Dudan noted that her favorite high school memory was “the annual team trip to Lacrosse because the bus ride and time with the team is very fun and unforgettable.”

“I am really excited to branch out and meet new people while also building connections through the team and just kinda having fun with it.” said Korynne Moga, Purdue Fort-Wayne track and field signee. Moga also said that she chose the college because “It was not too far from home, it’s only like a four hour drive and I really fell in love with the campus and how everything is laid out and two girls from my club team are also running track here so I was feeling more comfortable with my friends moving away.” Although the girl’s high school track and field season has just started, Moga reflected back on her time here at Homestead by saying that “Some of my favorite memories would probably be going to state two years in a row, we missed out on our freshman year season and then we took our 4x200 to state both my junior year and my sophomore year. That was really fun.”
