Ryan Cline once again showed why he is one of the best shooters in the conference, making over 40.0 percent of his 3-point attempts while making multiple trifectas in a game 12 times during the season. Having made 87 triples in his first two seasons, Cline has recorded the seventh-most 3-pointers in school history through his sophomore season.

Ryan Cline was 18-of-38 (.474) from long distance against teams that made the NCAA Tournament. including a 3-of-3 effort at Louisville. Cline went 5-of-7 against Arizona State in Madison Square Garden.

This shot above against Notre Dame gave Purdue a second-half lead against the Irish, helping the Boilermakers erase a 17-point deficit.

A year after making just one shot inside the arc, Cline showed more aggressiveness, connecting on 12-of-25 shots inside the arc. He has expanded his game to include shots off the dribble and going to the hole.

Cline also improved other parts of his game, dishing out 50 assists against 22 turnovers for an assist / turnover ratio of 2.27 in 21.4 minutes per game. For his career, he has a ratio of 2.91 (96 / 33).

Cline's defense was much improved as well in 2016-17, and his length and mobility has made him a solid player on the defensive end.

Cline will be counted on for another significant role in the 2017-18 season, with his sights set on becoming one of the nation's top shooters.
