My Digital Footprint ( as Cori Parry )

In this generation, it's almost unheard of to not be on your phone constantly. Just as other kids my age, I also find myself on my phone for hours a day. With Apple's capabilities, I was able to view exactly what applications I use the most often and how often I do so. I'm embarrassed of my results to say the least. Even as a full time student and varsity athlete I still manage to gather a rather high screen time.

Between my most commonly used apps (according to my screen time) Tiktok, Discord, Safari (YouTube), Instagram, Snapchat, and Spotify -- I took time to realize what I may be posting, sharing, and "liking" on these apps.

When reviewing my most used social media app, TikTok my targeted algorithm is insanely precise. Based off previous things I've liked, shared, and followed this has continued to improve to know my habits and preferences. To an extent, It's almost terrifying how much TikTok knows about me.

Similarly, my YouTube preferences is often precisely targeted to my habits and likings. My YouTube's recommended typically consists of wrestling videos, video gaming, collector shoes, some sort of creative film, or music videos.

(my actual YouTube recommened)

In terms of publicly shared information my only public account is my Instagram. Which shows my personal photos, personal life, locations, friends, and my social opinions. Other than my Instagram with close friends, I try to conceal my personal information from people online.

WHICH ASPECTS OF MY DIGITAL FOOTPRINT AM I HAPPY WITH? WHICH AM I CONCERNED About?

For the most part I'm pretty safe online, and I don't hand out a lot of personal information. The only public page I do have is somewhat professional, and I wouldn't mind teachers, employers, or family members viewing it. The only thing I'm concerned with is my target algorithm preferences of my habits and likings.

How do I feel about my online self in general? Are there any adjustments I should make?

Overall, I feel good about my online self. I represent myself in the way I'd want to be represented. On my Instagram, I represent myself as the person I really am while also staying appropriate. I wouldn't be embarrassed or ashamed of what I have posted. So, I wouldn't feel the need to make any adjusts!
