The fist McDonald's was opened in August, 1953. Cheeseburgers, fries, drinks, and milkshakes were accessible to hungry customers with prices ranging from ten to twenty cents.

The Big Mac was introduced to the world in 1968. The size was the main selling point along with the secret sauce. People went -- and still go -- nuts over the Big Mac due to it's cheap price: only forty-five cents.

Ronald McDonald was introduced in 1963, but was the official face of fast food years later. He encouraged imagination and brought a sense of wonder and hope to young children. McDonald's changed it's demographic by including young children who loved fun

In the late 90s and early 2000s, super sizing fries and sodas was a very popular thing at McDonald's. Marketers discovered that it was the large portions that drove hungry customers through the door. It only cost twenty-four cents to super size fries or soda.

In the mid 2000s, after the success of Supersize Me, a film ridiculing the outrageous calories of McDonald's, the fast food chain included salads in their menu to provide for a healthier reputation. Salad's range from $4.59 to $5.39.

In 2016, McDonald's introduced the Mac Jr and the Grand Mac. The Grand Mac is huge, while the Mac Jr is normal, satisfying the needs of various customers.
