Dear MVHS Students and Parents,
We are officially halfway through the school year, having just completed what many of us would agree has been one of the most challenging semesters ever! With each passing day I am more energized, and optimistic that our second semester will continue to trend towards a more traditional experience for our students, with prominent events such as prom and graduation just around the corner. As we look to brighter days ahead, I implore all of us to continue to be conscientious about treating one another with kindness and respect. Let’s be intentional about the type of community that we want to create and exist in, together.

Black History Month At MVHS
Tutoring Support Available For Students
MV teachers are excited to offer free after school tutoring for all students 3 days each week. Students are encouraged to join this small group setting to get tutoring, review concepts or make-up missing assignments. Come to room C11 from 3:30-5:30 any Monday, Tuesday, or Thursday for help. We look forward to seeing you!
First semester grading is complete for all MVHS classes, and Semester 1 report cards are now visible in StudentVUE/ParentVUE. To view official first semester grades, click on "Report Card" tab on the left navigation in StudentVUE/ParentVUE.
(Important Note: if you took an online course through Bend-La Pine Online first semester, those grades do not appear on report cards and are not ready to reflect on your transcript. Once the BLPO team finalizes those grades, they will be added to transcripts)
Scholastic Art Awards
Congrats to our Scholastic Art Award winners and honorable mentions for this year! This is a very competitive art competition for the state of Oregon. Any of the Gold Key winners advance to be judged at the National Level. Check out the MVHS student submissions in the presentation linked below.
Students who plan to participate in a spring sport can begin registering this week. To be cleared for the first practice, students must complete online registration through FamilyID, pay participation fee (and any outstanding fines) through TouchBase and have a current sports physical on file in the Athletic Office. All registration materials must be submitted by 3:00pm on Feb 23rd. See full details on the MVHS Athletic website.
