We seek your assistance in ensuring that Year 12 students clearly understand their responsibilities when engaging in end of year activities and that any such activities are designed to bring credit to themselves, their peers and their school.

School references

Students requiring a reference will need to see Mr Russell before end of Week 8 of Term 3.

Final week of school

At Byron Bay High School we encourage our students to celebrate in an enjoyable and positive way. There is no such thing as a 'muck up day'. There will be no disruption to the school or to the learning of other students. I remind parents that antisocial activities are not appropriate at any time or place and that students should not expect to be exempt from the rules of the school or the law on the basis of their status as students. A suspension from school in the last week may affect a student's ability to attend the Year 12 Farewell Celebration in November. We have spoken directly to students about these issues.

Term 4

HSC Examinations

  • Wednesday 12 October to Friday 4 November

The HSC begins on Wednesday 12 October and continues for four weeks. Please refer to this link for times and equipment list required for exams - 2022 HSC Timetable. Students can access their timetable and other useful HSC information accessing their NESA Students Online. It is extremely important that students ensure they are aware of their exam dates. Students should be in attendance 20 minutes prior to the start of their exams. Exams will take place in the John Collins Auditorium or nominated classrooms for smaller classes.

Distance Education students must ensure they are aware of their requirements.

Please note if a student is sick for an exam they will need a Medical Certificate and make contact with the Presiding Officer on the day of the exam. A NESA Illness/Misadventure process will need to be completed.

Students need to ensure that all their details including mobile number and email are correct as this is where their HSC results will go.

Signing out

When a student has completed all of their examinations, they must sign out by collecting a leaver's form from the front office, return all school text books, equipment, library books and locker keys and pay any outstanding school fees.
