Horizontal Rain Aviation photography by Sagar N. Pathak

From the ground, in the skies and from the edge of space, I have tried to capture the beauty of these marvelous machines and the men and women who fly them.

The Bay Area as seen from a U-2 Spy Plane above 70,000 feet

I started off traveling to airshows across the world to see aircraft from different nations.

But my true passion was photographing and sharing the stories of the men and women of our Armed Forces. I have been fortunate to have embedded with the USAF and US Navy across the globe and have travelled to dozens of air bases. I have landed on aircraft carriers rolling in the ocean, flown over the skies above Afghanistan refueling aircraft supporting the troops on the ground. I have flown a stealth bomber on a nuclear strike mission and traveled to the edge of space on a spy plane.
I even loved to learn to shoot non-military aircraft
But the real honor is meeting the men and women who fly and support these magnificent flying machines.

It has led to some great friendships and amazing opportunities.

And along the way, I've been lucky to be published both nationally and internationally in over two dozen magazines and newspapers.

Thank you for sharing the adventure with me.
