Island
An island is an piece of land with water all around it. For an example there are two main types of islands like the continental islands and oceanic islands. Islands are also areas of land that are not connected to a continent. Small islands are sometimes called keys and islets.
Peninsula
A peninsula is a body of land with water covering three sides of the land. Peninsulas are found in every Continet in North America. A peninsula is connected to a piece of land on one side.
Waterfall
A waterfall is when a river falls off a steep mountain. Waterfalls are also called cascades. Many waterfalls in an area help Geologists and hydrologists determine a regions fall line and underlying Rock structure.
Oceans
Oceans are any of the four largest bodies of water on Earth. Ocean water is salt water. And oceans cover three fourths of the earths surface. There are five oceans called the Pacific Ocean, Atlantic Ocean, Indian Ocean, Artic Ocean And the Southern Ocean.
Sea level
A sea level is an ocean's surface, compared to which land can be measured either above or below.Also it is used for measuring elevation And depth on Earth.
Canal
A canal is an boat access to a bigger body of water. Like the famous Erie Canal , witch connects the Hudson River to Lake Erie.
Body of water
A Body of water is a large body of water somewhat smaller than an ocean. A body of water does not have to be still or contained. Most body's of water are created by dam's.
Gulf
A gulf is a body of water, large than most bays, with land around part of it. Gulfs are formed when a giant rock collapses or when a piece of land sinks.
Bay
A bay is a narrower part of an ocean or lake.That cuts into land. The land surrounding a bay can often block waves and reduce the strength of winds.
Swamp
A swamp is a shallow water covering low land filled with trees and plants. Other swamps occur on the shores of large lakes.
Delta
A delta is a triangle shaped area of land at the mouth of a river. A river delta is a landform that forms at the mouth of a river, where the river flows into an ocean, sea, estuary, lake, or reservoir.
River
A river Is a large stream of water leading to a lake, another river, or a stream. A river is a natural flowing watercourse, usually freshwater, flowing towards an ocean, sea, lake or another river

A river bank is a edge of a river. also a stretch of land, usually rising, at the edge of a river.
Lake
A lake is a large body of water with land all around it or nearby it . Lakes lie on land and are not part of the ocean.
Basin
A basin is a dip in the earth's surface. Basins are shaped like a bowl's, with sides higher than the bottom.
Glacier
A glacier is a giant sheet of ice that moves slowly across land. Glaciers are made up of fallen snow that, over many years, compresses into large, thickened ice.
Cliff
What is a cliff well a cliff is a steep rock made of rock and soil. A lso a cliff is a mass of rock that rises very high.
Valcono
A volcano is a mountain with an opening at the top, formed by violent bursts of stream and hot rock.
Butte
What is a butte? a butte is a high, wide area of flat land, with steep sides.The word butte comes from a French word meaning "small hill".
Canyon
A canyon is a deep valley with very steep sides.Usually a river or stream and erosion carve out such splits between mountains.
Desert
A desert is a very dry land. Hardly any plants grow there because of the short supply of water. The most known plant to survive is a cactus because it can store water inside the plant.
Prairie
A prairie is a large area of land with few or no trees, but similar to a plain. Many prairie plants are adapted for a dry, windy, hot climate.
