PLD Library Fall 2022 Update

PLD Library stats:

We hosted 287 separate classes for various activities this fall.

This past fall, we circulated 4,339 items to students and staff. The top 5 titles were We are Not From Here by Jenny Torres Sanchez (realistic), I Must Betray You by Ruta Sepetys (historical), The Hate U Give by Angie Thomas (urban), Roxy by Neal Shusterman (fantasy), and Blackout short story collection (realistic).

Top 5 Circulated Books

Kim Overstreet has managed 2,397 Chromebooks for PLD students and staff, and Jim Adams and STLP students have repaired hundreds of Chromebook issues, with an average turn-around time of an hour. Around 90% of Chromebook repairs occur in-house.

During the fall, the PLD Library acquired and processed 391 new books.

We appreciate the love shown to the PLD Library.

The MakerSpace has been a popular area of the PLD Library. Featuring various hands-on activities, students can use the area for a "brain break" from traditional school activities and engage critical- and design-thinking skills.
