Little Assistant By Ashkhen Khachatryan

My sister Christina is 6 years old, she is the youngest member in our family. We love her very much. She is a special child for me, I have seen many children but she differs from them in her characteristic features and behaviour. She is only 6 but she already shares the housework by doing different things, sometimes very weird for a child to do. My parents and grandparents teach her everything such as baking bread, cooking, taking care of the farm animals and similar works that villagers normally do. But the main thing that makes me get surprised is her tractor driving skills.

It’s been almost 2 years since she drives a tractor. Mainly she does it for fun but sometimes she really helps my father when he has lots of work to do.I do admire that child how she can be interested in such stuff when she doesn’t even go to school. And besides her motivation to learn new things she can also perfectly handle whatever she does.

I like observing her when she is opening the dough and preparing it for the oven. She gives the shape to the dough in such a perfect way that even my grandma is surprised.

When all the family members are busy Kristina can organize her day on her own and that's really amazing. She can take care of herself, cook, play, do whatever she needs to do and looking at her example I often ask myself how different we are. I have never driven a tractor or cooked when I was a child. The only thing I would do was helping my family in the field during harvesting potatoes and now I see that Kristina is the best assistant of my family and our little happiness.

.

She loves to go fishing with the grandfather. She has started to accompany him since she was 4.

Kristina helps the grandma to ground the wheat. She loves to do that especially when her favorite wheat-porridge made by the grandma will follow this for dinner. The tool of grounding the wheat is made by the grandfather.
Kristina usually takes water for the cattle in the evening before they are sent to the barn.

This year Kristina will go to school. She can count and she also can draw. She likes to play in the snow and she loves watching cartoons.

I’m sure that she will do very well at school and she will be our little pride.
