ZiXuan ＆Slow Train is a is a five-piece Taiwanese multi-genre fusion band with a mission to promote and pass on Hakka culture. Consisting of ZiXuan (vocal and band leader), Chill (guitar), Austin (bass), Lu (Keyboard) and Atama(drum) , ZiXuan ＆Slow Train write songs in two main native Taiwanese languages- Hakka and Hokkien, combining their musical compositions with a variety of musical genres including jazz, reggae, soul and folk. Both ZiXuan ＆Slow Train's 2015 debut album 'Stranger in a Strange Land' and 'Going Up to the Country' in 2019 touch on country, folk, soul and traditional (and avant-garde) Hakka styles. These two albums had won the Best Hakka Album Award at the 'Golden Melody Awards', the most iconic music award in Taiwan's music industry. They have performed in "Zandari Festa" in Korea, "shima fes SETOUCHI" in Japan , and Malaysian ''Kuching-Siniawan Music Festival''...etc. In the summer of 2023, ZiXuan ＆Slow Train will embark on their European live session tour to bring the sound of Taiwanese Hakka to the world.
