IGBO 18th Century Death Penalties

:Hanging.

Under secular law in the 18th century , hanging and being burn is the method of execution. Under Shariah law applied in some northern Nigerian states, executions can be carried out by hanging. That happens when you steal/murder/rape/ and more.

:Beatings.

(18th century) beatings were one way to make people learn there lessons. They didn't kill them the show them that it wasn't a game. They just tie them and beat them with sticks till they had enough.

British 18th Century Penalties

Chopping there heads off was one of the death penaltys. That was for slaves they captured also the people who had murder. Many of does people who died were slaves.
