MEET THE FROGS
Fort Worth: Year-Round Golf
With its year-round warm climate and numerous top courses in very close proximity to the TCU campus, golf is a 12-month outdoor sport in Fort Worth.
Colonial Country Club
Located about five minutes from TCU's campus, the historic Colonial Country Club welcomes TCU Golf to the storied course for practices and home tournaments.
Colonial Country Club
Colonial hosts an annual PGA Tour event, the Charles Schwab Challenge, it's the longest-running non-major tour event held at the same site.
The 2019 winner, Kevin Na, beat Tony Finau by four strokes, earning Na his third PGA Tour victory. Na was awarded a fully-restored 1973 Dodge Challenger, with the year being significant as it was the year that the Charles Schwab company was formed.
The event is held in the middle of May, making it a popular event for TCU students to attend after finals.
Colonial Country Club
The par-70 course is a staple for PGA Tour golfers. Designed by John Bredemus and Perry Maxwell, Colonial has hosted the 1941 U.S. Open, the 1975 Tournament Players Championship and the 1991 U.S. Women's Open.
Shady Oaks Country Club
Shady Oaks is consistently ranked as a top course in both Fort Worth and Texas. It's located only 10 minutes from campus, making it another premiere course to play and practice.
Shady Oaks has been home to many Tour players in the area, including the legendary Ben Hogan who captured 64 wins. TCU alumni, including Angela Stanford, also call this course home.
Designed by world-renowned golf course architect Robert Trent Jones and built by Plummer, the golf course features large bent grass greens and broad, gently rolling fairways.
Mira Vista Country Club
Mira Vista, located just 15 minutes from the TCU campus, is another premiere championship course and practice venue for the Horned Frogs.
Mira Vista Country Club
Mira Vista features a unique 18-hole championship course designed by golf professional Tom Weiskopf and golf course architect Jay Morrish. After undergoing a major renovation in 2016, its state-of-the-art practice facilities make it a top club in DFW.
Mira Vista Country Club
The Kathy Whitworth Invitational, a top junior golf tournament featuring 72 of the best junior girl golfers in the country, has been hosted at the club for over 20 years. Mira Vista is also home to TCU's JJ Henry, a longtime member of the PGA Tour, and other pro players.
Athletics Facilities
Bob Lilly Physical Performance Center
TCU's Bob Lilly Performance Center is located adjacent to the Sam Baugh Indoor Practice Facility and Schollmaier Basketball Complex on the back side of the Schollmaier Arena. Completed in September 2011, the two-story facility houses an 18,000 square feet weight room.
Alice & Brad Cunningham Fueling Station
The fueling station is located in the weight room, making it a convenient place to get a pre-workout snack or post-workout smoothie. Sports nutritionists anchor the fueling station and provide student-athletes with practical, healthy tips to navigate life as a college student.
PERFORMANCE ATHLETIC DINING
Among the many dining facilities on campus is Performance Athletic Dining, an additional option that's exclusive to student-athletes. With its own chef, the "training table" prepares meals specifically geared towards student-athletes and is available five days a week.

Academics
Athletic Academic Services Office
The Athletic Academic Services Office (AASO) offers a variety of resources to help student-athletes learn as efficiently and effectively as possible. Our goal is to support all student-athletes as they adapt their study skills, test-taking strategies and personal habits to the demands of a TCU education. We understand that the amount of material and the pace of the curriculum can present difficulties for many student-athletes, and our office is committed to working through those challenges. From orientation to graduation, the AASO has a number of valuable programs and opportunities that help student-athletes become life-long learners. We are forever striving to be the innovative leader in transformative education.
Academic Advising
All student-athletes have a primary academic or faculty advisor in their respective colleges with whom they are required to meet with prior to registration each semester. The AASO serves as a secondary advisor by helping student-athletes navigate time conflicts, practice schedules, and compliance with NCAA rules and regulations. This process promotes student-athlete engagement and encourages timely progress towards graduation. In addition, we function as a liaison between the Department of Intercollegiate Athletics, the Office of the Registrar, dean's offices, and department chairpersons during the registration process.
