The light skips across the waves and breezes through the silver green grass on shore.
The routine of summer begins.
It is not much different than the routine of this place year round.
The waves carve a new curve into the point each day.
Some things wash ashore to die. Others are pulled out to sea to continue a cycle that may take hundreds of years to complete.
The scene is reliable and therefore comforting.
This place is always here - in all its variations.
