Curtain Trends Fall/Winter 22 PAGUNETTE

Pagunette Fall 22

The definition of the good life keeps changing. For decades everything had to move faster, be bigger and go higher. But the 2010s and 2020s has given way to a new way of living. It focuses on nature and a slower way of life. From wanting the latest technological gadget, people are now forgoing smartphones all together, and trade them in for the dumb phones that has been a thing of the past, since the turn of the millennium.

So, what makes a good life? We realized that what we were craving the most, was the peace and tranquility that only nature can offer. The silence of the mountain, the eternal white noise of the waves breaking on the shore, the muted sensation of an overgrown forest, and the enticing smell of a scorched desert.

As we cannot answer the question, we did the only thing we know how to do. We assembled a stunning new collection, inspired by the gorgeous wild that surround us; so that you can enjoy the colours and textures of nature, round the clock.

This is our ode to nature.

Colour Trend: The Forest

Deep inside native forests, exists a different world entirely. The dense foliage and the rough surface of the tree bark has a muting effect, and it feels like the outside world just disappears completely. Once you enter, it draws you in, ever deeper. The forest has no sense of the time that dictates your life outside of it. Millias go by in the blink of an eye, and yet time seems to stand still. A forest doesn’t rush. It merely is.

The Forest collection is medicine for the modern soul and is comprised of a wide range of calming green shades tailored specifically for a calm and meditative decor. So come explore this ancient world with us; surround yourself with botanical prints and earthen colours of a world that existed long before us and will persist long after. Let’s disappear deep into The Forest this fall.

Colour Trend: The Lake

New minimalism has long overtaken the stringent and cold minimalism of the noughties. The Nordic take on minimalism pairs the cold and barren, with the warm and organic: and the collection The Lake is no exception. By the banks of a lake, your attention is always drawn ever outwards. The big, blue plain in front of you seems hypnotizing, and the world behind you disappears.

We experience water from the surface. And what the surface lacks in accent colours, it makes up for in dynamic and everchanging textures. The prints of The Lake collection are subtle, but the textures and changing shades of blue and green, result in exciting and exhilarating impressions. So join us on the water, for some late summer shenanigans, before winter covers the lake with a white blanket yet again.

Colour Trend: The Mountain

Solitude and loneliness are not interchangeable terms. Solitude is deeply intentional and is increasingly sought out by people overflowing with the modern world’s endless impressions. The Mountain collection reflects this perfectly. Solitude provides a sense of freedom you don’t get otherwise. It gives us the opportunity to move unhindered by others, both in flesh and in spirit.

The Mountain collection is experimenting with textures. Just like you’ll experience on the mountainside in the wild. Plush meets velvet meets quilted meets herringbone weave. Despite the muted colours of this collection, your eyes will never want for new impressions to take in. Join us in our solitary mountain retreat, for silent contemplation and blissful meditation, as we recharge for yet another year.

Colour Trend: The Desert

There is something primally enticing about the deep, earthen colours of the desert. Even the burnt smell of the scorched air is unlike anything else. The Desert collection pairs modern patterns with ancient colours and creates something new entirely. The stringent designs and straight lines, combined with the organic colours are mesmerizing. So, join our caravan as we traverse into the familiar, yet unknown, to discover our roots in The Desert collection.

Behind every curtain there is a story

Deeply rooted in the Nordic design culture, Pagunette aims to echo the contemporary longing for peace and quiet, in the colours of green woods, delicate meadows and dark oceans. While striving to create progressive and modern collections; the stony beaches, rough waters, and mossy forests of Scandinavia, are always ingrained in our designs.
