Prayer: Fall Week One Spiritual Battle Plan

* Ephesians 6:10-17. Be strong in the Lord and in the strength of his might. Pray for students and families to put on their spiritual armor and keep it on.

* 2 Timothy 1:7. God gave us a spirit not of fear, but of power and love and self-control (a sound mind). Pray for courage to make decisions based on truth, not fear.

* Matthew 22:37-39. Put into action what "love God, love people" looks like when sharing space with roommates. Pray that they help each other become the adult version that God has in mind for them; pray for financial stewardship, and how to use their funds in the wisest way; pray for adjustment, time management, planning, and organization.

* Philippians 4:6-7. Do not be anxious. Guard your heart and mind with gratitude and thanksgiving for the Lord's promises in yours and your student's life. Pray for your student's encouragement, peace, and success making friends; for courage as families adjust to their students being away, perhaps for the first time. Pray for peace and hope as they all practice a different pace of communication.

* Psalm 91:1-6; 14-16. God is faithful; he is our shelter. Pray protection over your student and the campus as a community.

* Matthew 7:24-25. Pray for your student to follow the Lord’s teaching and build their “House upon the Rock.” Pray for all the student leadership as they take on new responsibilities.

* 1 Thessalonians 5:16-23. Thank and praise the Lord that He is at work in all circumstances to mature, counsel, comfort, guide, and provide if we will allow it.
