A Letter From Head Coach Jamie Ashworth

Chloe,

Thank you for all that you have given to Duke and Duke tennis over these past four years.

It has been an honor to work with someone who brings their best day in and day out to the courts whether it is for practice or for a match. You inspire those around you to push themselves and be better, the passion you have for Duke and our women’s tennis program is infectious. Most importantly your commitment to doing things the right way is recognized not only by us here at Duke but by others across the country.

Numerous times I have heard “I wish I had eight Chloe Becks on my team” from other coaches and that to me is the mark of a great competitor. We have talked about many things in our program during your time here at Duke and none stands out more than our conversations about Ubuntu - I am because you are.

We could not be where we are as a program without you and you would not be where you are today without Duke. Together you have reached new heights on the court and together - with Duke by your side new doors will open.

Congrats on being named the National Senior Player of the Year and I am excited to see what lies ahead in the 2023 - 2024 year.
