Calvin Women's Soccer

2023 in Review

The Knights finished their 2023 season with a record of 16-2-3 and a 7-1 MIAA record. They were the No. 1 seed in the MIAA Tournament before hoisting the trophy as MIAA Champions for the second year in a row.

Calvin hosted the first round of the NCAA Tournament where they beat Spalding (Ky.) and Milwaukee School of Engineering. In the round of sixteen, the Knight's traveled to St. Louis, Mo. where they fell to No. 2 Washington University to close out their season.

The Knights

The Knights compete as members of the NCAA DIII. With 11 National Titles and over 100 top 10 finishes, the Knights aim to compete at the highest level of DIII. Additionally, Calvin’s student-athletes have received CoSIDA Academic All-American honors 122 times—the most for any school of our size.

The National Association of Collegiate Directors of Athletics award the Learfield Director's Cup each year to the top athletics program in the country. Calvin is one of only six schools in DIII athletics to be included as a Top 30 program in the Learfield standings every year dating back to 1996.

Facilities

A new stadium is scheduled for completion in Fall 2024. The new facility will house year-round locker rooms for both the women's and men's soccer programs.

Home of the Knights, the Spoelhof Fieldhouse Complex accounts for roughly 10% of the total square footage around the campus: 362,000 square feet. Whether in the locker room, weight room or athletic training room, our student athletes spend a lot of their time in this facility.

The Conference

The MIAA was founded March 24, 1888 and is the nations oldest athletic conference.

The Knights compete in the Michigan Intercollegiate Athletic Association (MIAA) against 8 other universities located in Michigan and Indiana. Since 1990 our program holds an overall record of 297-73-22 good for the highest win percentage in the conference at .758.
