The Skipper Canterbury Tales

Wore a woolen gown down to his knees. He was tan from the summer heat. He had a dagger hanging from his neck on a lanyard. He also had a beard.

He rode a farmer's horse on land, but he also sometimes rode on a ship called, "The Maudelayne"

He has a lot of money, he owns his own ship.

He rank in society is middle class

The Skipper is a terrible person. He murders people, takes prisoners, and makes his prisoners walk the plank.

The Skipper's job was to make money from transporting goods and taking out enemy ships.

The Skipper has been to Spain and France. He is a great fighter. When he fought, the enemy ships always sank. He is from the far west. He is originally from Dartmouth and is a very good sailor.

Draught-a current of cold air, the depth of water needed for a ship to float, drinks stored in barrels.

Lanyard- a cord passed around the neck, shoulder, or wrist for holding a knife, whistle, or similar object.
