Churro, Mediamanga, Mangotero A children's game

Objective:

The goal of the game is divided into two parts, the first being totally physical. It is to achieve putting the whole team on the backs of others, once that is achieved it is the opponents to to guess the position, appropriate to "churro, mediamanga or magotero." The game requires a lot of physical endurance, such as running and jumping.

How to Play:

  • Ten players divided into two teams of five.
  • The players will be placed in a crouch, so that each player will rest their head in the front legs of the person in front of them.
  • The first player will stand against a wall acting as a support or cushion, while the next player rests their head in his hands.
  • The next team will try to place all of the players onto the first team by running and jumping on the backs of the first team.
  • The strongest runner/ jumper will go first attempting to go as far as possible, following in order of strength.
  • After the first player lands, they must pronounce the question, "Ciervo, ciervo adivinar quĂ© yo tengo en la olla." (Buck Buck guess what I have in the pot)
  • While the player is reciting these words:
  • One individual will be facing away and must guess the placement of the first team members landing.
  • The player will either:
  • Place his right hand on the other hand if he is choosing "Churro"
  • On the left elbow if he thinks he made it half way "media manga"
  • One the shoulder if he thinks he made it all the way "Mangotero."
  • After his guess the players will shout either, "Churro, media manga, mangotero."

If at any time during the game the team squatting sinks, and cannot withstand the weight of the individuals the team returns to "parar" and the teams will reset.

Variation:

In some cases when there are a lot of players, they will do two large groups, separating and attempting to have the whole teams on the backs without anyone falling. If someone does fall however, they must reset and start over. Whoever achieves this first is declared the winner.

Thank you!
