C.S. Lewis 1863-1963

1863-Clive Staples Lewis was born to Albert j. Lewis and Florence Augusta Hamilton Lewis. He had an older brother (Warren) that was 4 years older.

1908- His mother, Florence, had died of cancer. His uncle and grandfather had also died that same year.

1910: Clive enrolled in a boarding school, Campbell College, one mile from his Little Lea home. He later left in November because of respiratory problems.

1917- 3 years after WWI started, C.S enlisted in the British army and was billeted in Keble College, Oxford. His partner/ best friend was Paddy Moore. After Paddy's death Clive started to question his faith in god.

1926- Clive meets J.R.R Tolkien in The Eagle and the Child pub and they form the Inklings

1950- Lewis publishes the first book of the Narnia series {The Lion, The Witch and the Wardrobe}
1956- Jack {Clive} met Joy Davidman and her 2 kids. He didn't have any intentions on having a relationship but when she was getting a divorce{ and find out she had terminal cancer} he married her so her and her kids could stay in England with him.
1960- Joy's cancer returns and she dies on July 13
1963-Lewis died at 5:30 p.m. at The Kilns, one week before his 65th birthday on Friday, November 22
