LUCK by mark twain

On 26th April, Students from the "Yes The Mieres EOI Theatre" group, from C1 and from A2 levels gathered to read a short story entitled: Luck by Mark Twain. It was an amazing experience!

In "Luck," Mark Twain tells the story of a young man named Scoresby, who is renowned for his good luck. While playing cards on a steamship, Scoresby realizes that the other players are cheating, and he narrowly escapes danger. He comes to the conclusion that his luck has run out and quits gambling forever. Through Scoresby's experiences, Twain explores the theme of luck and how it can be both a blessing and a curse. The story serves as a warning against relying too much on luck and emphasizes the importance of hard work and personal responsibility.
