Why Are Clubs And Councils So Beneficial At ISB? BY: Nice

"There are different categories for everyone and anyone," says Tomoko IKUTA, a sophomore at ISB, who is an active participant in a council and many other clubs. At ISB, we make sure all students in the high school participate in a club. There are a variety of clubs and councils that offer something for everyone. We believe clubs and councils are also beneficial to you because they give you the opportunity to meet new people, learn new things, etc. So why not try out the clubs and councils?

ISB club students believe that clubs are another way to do hands-on activities and learn instead of sitting in a classroom on a tablet. That's why ISB has many clubs to support any interest, because we believe there's more to learning than just academic studies in a classroom. The ISB community welcomes everyone, which means our clubs are diverse and well-sorted. ISB gives each and every student the opportunity to take a leadership role in an interested club and organize activities. Sophomore, Tomoko IKUTA "Clubs help to learn about society and the problems of the world." Through donations, posters, performances, and many more, you can share your interests with others while helping and learning about the world's problems. She also says, "ISB is a big place that knows a lot of people, which means there are big organizations, such as ICARE," a service organization that assists those in need. A club at ISB may involve working with other organizations to help the community, as ISB knows many companies and corporations, which could increase the success and importance of the club.

High school is an important time to explore and find out everything you love, you can develop passions and interests. There are many reasons why clubs are so beneficial. University of Birmingham states that clubs can improve your academic performance for university when you participate in extracurricular activities (“Why Work in Groups?”). Clubs teach you valuable skills such as teamwork when you work with others in your club. Not only do they help you academically, but socially as well. Especially at ISB, where we have a huge selection of clubs, you can find people who love the same things you do. Not only that, you can meet people you might not have classes with, people from different grade levels and different genders in one place where you can share ideas with each other.

(ISB + ICare = WE CARE)

At ISB, we believe that activities are another way to grow as a learner. That's why we have a wide range of extracurricular and intramural activities for you to choose from. Learn more about yourself, learn more about others, learn more about the subject. At ISB, we learn in a variety of ways. To join a club or sign up, visit the club fairs or email Mr. A.
