The Viking View The NJH PTO Newsletter - Week of April 3

north junior high pto works to:

Support Students | Appreciate Educators | Create Community | Sponsor Fun

The Big Give was an ambitious campaign, and it absolutely would not have succeeded without the generosity and support of our donors. Together, we raised $17,125 (exceeding our initial $15,000 goal!) and engaged nearly 200 families. We came together as a community to support our students, educators and families. The feedback on this format was extremely positive – people loved a simple, straightforward fundraiser with little overhead costs or personal time commitment. The Big Give was 100% volunteer-organized, and every dollar raised will go towards funding activities for North students, educators and families. Watch for The Big Give every February, and please consider continuing your support in future years.

Here's a chart showing how we're planning to allocate and spend the money:

There's just one thing left to do to wrap up the big give. the assembly has been postponed until after spring break, but We'll share all the messy photos here!

A Round of Applause & Many thanks for helping with the March teacher lunch

Pat yourselves on the back...the March Madness staff appreciation lunch was a HUGE success. You filled up every spot on the sign up sheet! Thank you to everyone who brought appetizers, desserts and drinks to remind North teachers we think they're the best. If you don't believe us, take it from one of the teachers: "BTW, yesterday's lunch spread was AMAZING!! Thank you!! We are truly spoiled here at North. Best PTO ever!"

April's staff Appreciation Lunch is a baked potato bar

This month's staff appreciation lunch is coming up on Thursday, April 13. Please sign up here to bring toppings, corn bread, salad or dessert. Set up and serving opportunities are also available. Food should be delivered to the school office by 11:00 on Thursday, April 13. Please be sure to label your container if you want it back.

We raised $329 for North just by eating out! Thank you for supporting our students.
