Term 2a, week 6

It’s been a very busy half term and we kicked off the week with a performance of High School Musical by our performing arts group.

It was full of singing and dancing...

....and lots of lines to be learnt.

This week, we held a Valentine’s Disco on February 14th.

This was after we’d spent some time in our reading session, on this day, learning about the history of Valentine’s Day and how it came to be named.

There was lots of dancing and spending money at the tuck shop!

We completed another STEAM challenge in our Computing session. This week it was a maths scavenger hunt.

We had a list of maths things that we had to find around school.

Then we recorded our evidence on Seesaw and we are waiting to find out which teams received points!

We have begun to do some one minute presentations as part of our oracy work we are doing at St John’s.

We are taking it turns, in our groups, to present to one another about something of our own choice.

As part of our work on Economic Wellbeing we are carrying out a project with Red Start.

We spent some time considering our spending habits and where we get our money from including doing chores for pocket money.

We thought about how we decide and choose what to spend our money on as well as how adverts persuade us to buy something.

To end the week, we completed round 2 of the one minute presentations.

After a busy half term, we are looking forward to our break and recharging our batteries ready for next half term.
