Rise & Thrive News Week of May 9, 2022

Duff Elementary

Just a friendly reminder that our campus is closed on STAAR Testing Dates. Thank you so much for your support and cooperation.

STAAR testing days have arrived and students have been preparing for these days all year long. They have learned so much new information, acquired new skills, set goals, monitored progress, and are approaching this assessment much like an athlete approaches the "big game"! They are prepared and confident to show what they have learned and areas that may still require some additional practice. We know you are your child's biggest cheerleader and appreciate all the extra hugs, words of encouragement and support you will give them as they prepare to take these assessments.

Thank You For Celebrating our Teachers

Thank you! Thank you! Thank you! Duff parents, students, PTA, and community members who showered our teachers with so much love and appreciation to celebrate them for all they do! Your thoughtfulness and generosity is amazing!

A.W.A.R.E.

Mrs. Morris and Mrs. Kennedy were Arlington Will Award and Recognize Excellence (AWARE) nominees in their respective categories for the 21-22 school year. The AWARE Foundation celebrated the nominees at a dinner and Mrs. Morris was named the AWARE winner in the pre-k - 1st grade category! We are so proud of these Marvelous Mustang educators.

PTA School of Excellence Survey

National PTA School of Excellence Survey: We are in the home stretch for the National PTA School of Excellence Program! As part of this 9-month process that started last September, we are collecting feedback from families, administrators, and teachers. Please complete this short survey by May 20, 2022. Your response is anonymous and we appreciate your input!

What's Your Big Idea?

Third and fourth grade students had the opportunity to participate in the district's What's Your Big Idea Contest and the pictures below show the participants, finalists and winners from Duff. We are so very proud of their amazing inventions. They will definitely make the world a better place.
