Este fenómeno ocurre porque el rayo de luz cambia de dirección al atravesar un medio de diferente densidad como el agua y el aire. Y es que cuando la luz pasa por un medio transparente, no solo se produce un cambio de dirección, sino también la velocidad a la que viaja a través de los diferentes materiales.

El espejo es el símbolo por excelencia de la representación de la realidad. Esta representación es fiel sólo en apariencia pues ofrece una imagen idéntica o distorsionada ,pero invertida, muestra una suerte de revés de la vida.

Reflejo en el agua : Estos hechos aparecen en las zonas marina, lagos, ríos y cualquier cuerpo de agua de ciertas dimensiones. Ese brillo es causado por sunglint o reflejo especular, un fenómeno óptico que se produce cuando la luz del sol se refleja en la superficie del agua al mismo ángulo que un sensor satelital ve.
Reflection in the water: These facts appear in marine areas, lakes, rivers and any body of water of certain dimensions. That glow is caused by sunglint, or specular reflection, an optical phenomenon that occurs when sunlight reflects off the water's surface at the same angle as a satellite sensor sees it.
El cristal en su máxima opacidad produce reflejo dependiendo de la incidencia de la luz. El reflejo produce transparencia pero a su vez opacidad. Cuando se refleja lo que hay en frente, el cristal realmente se está comportando como un material opaco porque no podemos ver a través de él
The glass at its maximum opacity produces reflection depending on the incidence of light. The reflection produces transparency but at the same time opacity. When what's in front is reflected, the glass is really behaving like an opaque material because we can't see through it.
