This drawing has deep meaning to it along with a decent task that we were given while drawing this. By creating cubic angles our goal was to blend and realistic object into it catching the eye as mine does above. As you can see the butterfly stands out the most therefore it has the most meaning (representing faith and hope). It goes even deeper but that's not what we are here to discuss. When creating this piece of art work I doubted the outcome because I wasn't sure as to what was doing or if it was being done right. Turns out everything was done correctly and I was overly satisfied with the conclusion of this look. While creating this I saw and learned that there are many different styles of drawing and shadings that may not seem like a accurate acceptable look in the beginning but as you trust the process and have faith in what you are doing the outcome will no disappoint you.
In this assignment you were suppose to show the the separation of warm and cool colors and I did that by using the earth as a real world example. Along with many other art projects that I have completed they all have meaning, this one represents the toxic side of the world vs the purified. while creating this project I learned how easily these colors can be separated from each other and have such an exaggerated finish look. From the beginning my confidence was high on what the outcome of this would look like because I could see it clearly in my head. When I saw the finished look I was flabbergasted seeing how well the colors and everything fitted together just as I imagined. The story behind this painting holds lots of meaning as many can already see it represents and projects what the world is really like.
This sketch is one of my first free hand drawings and after years of not discovering this talent It was finally unlocked. The amount of signs in this drawing represent me and what I a connected to, allowing me to express how I feel through this clear drawing. When I first looked at this blank page I drew the first thing that came to mind and that was a side profile of a face which then led to two and so on. As this may seem like it was a planned sketch it wasn't which is why I find it one of my favorites as well. When creating this I was not confident in the outcome leading me to discontinue drawing it until one day I picked up where I left off. Coming out with this nice , smooth, clear, realistic drawing I was amazed and so were many other people the I associate myself with.
In conclusion taking Art 1 is something I would never regret taking as it turned me into a new person. Through this course I learned that you are able to express emotions, feelings, and thoughts through art, leaving you with something exotic and maybe even eye catching. This elective was a last minute choosing and I am glad that I got the opportunity to take it. Seeing that I already had a skill in drawing along with painting I didn't necessarily come across any obstacles but if I had to choose it would be sketching (styles of blending). The parts that I found the easiest were painting and coming out with what the foundation of the drawing or painting I was doing along with painting , coloring, and drawing. Coming into Art 1 my perspective of it changed completely. In the past I always thought it was pointless in a way until I realized there are many different styles as I learned. If you need a way to relax , relieve stress, or even express the way are you feeling in that given moment. Theres way more meaning to art then what is presented.
