The Founder of Delaware was Peter Minuit, and the Swedish Company.

Peter was born in Wesel, Germany, 1580.

He fled from Germany to escape religious persecution.

Peter died on August 5th, 1638. The same year Delaware was founded.

Government: Delaware was governed as a Proprietary Colony.

Religion: Their religion wasn't dominated by a specific religion which gave way to religious freedom.

Major City: The major city at the time was Wilmington.

Daily Life: Women generally cooked, cleaned, and and made clothes.

Geography: Delaware was a flat lowland. The southern boundary is swampland with over 30,000 acres of swamp. Delaware had fertile soil and land that was suited to farming.

Named After: Delaware was actually named after the Delaware River.
