Zion National Park. It is just the most appropriately named joint in the U.S. The reasons for this statement are many but from a high level, e-bikes that top out around 24MPH, otherworldly chocolate chip scones, and watching your stress be swallowed up by 2000 foot sheer cliffs for a few days might explain it. Zion National Park is located in Springdale Utah (Southern Utah) and has gained massive popularity in recent years. The town of Springdale is as vibey, westy, and quaint as they come. The people are kind, they don't use deodorant with aluminum in it, and you can stroll or ride the streets feeling like you're in a bit of simpler time. Naturally, people come for the park but sheesh, this town is remarkable.
The trek to Cable Mountain is somewhat of a secret that we only discovered because Trevor, the owner of the e-bike shop we rented from, was a total boss and hipped us to it. We were literally the only humans out and back and as you can observe with your very own eye holes, the views did not disappoint. I also carried a George Foreman grill to the top along with a small generator and a whole hog and we had a feast the likes of which Cable Mountain has never seen. Just kidding. We didn't.

Angels Landing. It's quite literally one of the most dangerous hikes on the planet (just google how many have perished) but man, what a trek. The chain-laden waltz to the top is one of the most adrenaline-pumpin experiences I've had since the release of Frozen 2 on blu-ray and timing is everything concerning when you make it to the top. There were a few minutes when I was the only one at the peak and I would be lying if I said I didn't strike 'child's pose' for a full five minutes.

The whole trip was just a hint from our Lord above that the full display of his glory in eternity is going to be an absolute blast. Maybe, just maybe scrolling around and seeing some of this ridiculousness on a four inch screen would inspire you to hit pause in whatever way you can and go drink in some of this wonderful world we’ve been gifted.
