Andy Warhola- nicknamed Andy Warhol, was born on August 6, 1928, and died on February 22, 1987.

As a young adult, Warhol worked for the popular magazines Vogue, Harper's Bazaar, and The New Yorker. After that, he decided to become an independent artist. After he died, Warhol's work was distributed to his very own museum, created to honor him after his death, and to various galleries.

Warhol used a 1986 Polaroid SX-70 Land Camera to take his bizarre portrait photos. The photos printed quickly, and he would use them as a starting point for his painted portraits.

Andy Warhol's lighting setup included nothing but a plain white wall and the flash of his Polaroid camera.

Interesting story about Warhol: His hair was not his own! In fact, Andy had 40 different wigs. In 1985, a girl snatched off his wig at a book-signing, Warhol apparently noted in his diary, ‘I don’t know what held me back from pushing her over the balcony.’

Warhol truly is one of the most influential artists in American history. He completely changed the way that modern-day people view pop art.
