Beirne Stadium

Beirne Stadium Home of Bryant Football and Bryant Lacrosse

The David M. '85 and Terry Beirne Stadium Complex was officially dedicated on Sept. 24, 2016. Opened as Bulldog Stadium in 1999, Beirne Stadium now holds the name of Bryant alum David Beirne and his wife Terry.

In the spring of 2018, brand new FieldTurf and lights were installed at Beirne Stadium, making Bryant the only University in Rhode Island with permanent football lighting. The FieldTurf is the same that is used at Gillette Stadium, home of the New England Patriots.

With a seating capacity of 4,400, Beirne Stadium utilizes a design that is usually reserved for larger stadiums, ensuring excellent sight lines and maximum comfort for spectators.

A 3,200-seat permanent bleacher comprises the backdrop for the home side of the field, while 1,200 additional seats are available on the visitor's side.

300 seats in the stadium are equipped with backs and arm rests.

New locker rooms, state-of-the art video technology and new coaches lockers were all added in 2009. Beirne Stadium has given the football Bulldogs a great home-field advantage as they are 68-34 (.667) since 1999.

The Bryant men's and women's lacrosse teams also play at Beirne Stadium during the spring. The men hosted Siena on May 7, 2014 in the first home NCAA tournament game in Bryant's Division I history. The Black and Gold won, 9-8.

In 2019, both Bryant men's and women's lacrosse will call Beirne Stadium home.

In addition to their victory over Siena, Bryant men's lacrosse also captured the 2013 NEC Championship at Beirne Stadium.
