We are practicing these PHRASES IN SPANISH. Encourage your child to use them at home! :)

• Hola, ¿Cómo estás? ( Hi, how are you?) ... Estoy bien, gracias! (I'm fine, thanks!)
• ¿Cuál es tu nombre? (What's your name?) .... Mi nombre es ______
• ¿Qué color es? _______ El color es ______
• ¿Puedo ir al baño? (Can I go to the restroom?)
• ¿Puedo tomar agua? ( Can I drink water?)

What's New?

We are practicing counting one to one following a sequence. We are now inicitaing a unit on Investigations 2.2.: Comparing lengths and quantities. Below is the vocabulary we are using in class:

• Numbers from 1 to 30 in Spanish!
• COLORES: Azul, amarillo, rojo, verde, morado, naranja (colors: blue, yellow, red, green, purple, orange)
• FORMAS: circulo (circle), cuadrado (square), rectangulo (rectangle), ovalo (oval), estrella (star), corazon (heart).
• POSITIONAL WORDS: Arriba (up), abajo (down), a un lado (to the side).
• DESCRIBING WORDS: grande (big), pequeño (small).
• COMPARING LENGTH: largo (long) , corto (short)
• FAMILY MEMBERS: el papá (dad), la mamá (mom), el hermano (brother), la hermana (sister), el bebé (baby)

New phrases:

• Yo lo sé - No lo sé. (I know - I don't know )
• No pasa nada. Esta bien! (It's alright! )
• Como se dice…? (How do you say ..?)
• Necesito un/ una… (I need a...)
• Donde esta …? (where is the ...)
• No entiendo (I don't understand)
