THE CONSTRUCTION PROCESS
Breathing life back into an old pool
Our first day on site was literally a historic one; the disused and out-of-commission pool we were faced with dated back to the 1960s and hadn't been used for well over five years!
Transformation success - all in the planning
To restore this once beautiful pool back to its former glory we needed a solid plan; so we formulated the following brief with the client. All new plumbing and fittings, a brand new white liner, and a state-of-the-art safety cover. All this along with LED lighting and a gorgeous sandstone patio surround! And to top it all off, the surrounding walls were going to be re-clad in cedar wood to provide an ultra-moderns perimeter to this staked with potential pool. Sounds lovely right? You just wait!
Preparation is the absolute key
The new type-one surround is then carefully laid and whacker-plated down. You can also see the new surface skimmers have now been installed. We are now ready and waiting to receive the new sandstone paving. The client chose a 25mm sawn sandstone from London Stone which we felt was the perfect choice for this large pool - all in the finishing touches, right? An excellent choice.
Completing the process
Now that the paving is all complete we could focus on installing the liner. Again, this is done with extreme precision and care to ensure an immaculate finish/look to the pool. A white line was chosen by design and as you can see the colours and surrounding texture harmonise perfectly.
With the safety cover now completely installed we proudly complete this project - we are super proud of this install and the client was pretty chuffed too - putting it mildly! Perfection is always at the forefront of any of the Opulent Pools' employees. We have been installing swimming pools for many years now and take tremendous pride in our work, So much so that our workmanship has been nationally recognised and we now boast some very prestigious awards.
