Ingoldsby Academy July 2022

At Ingoldsby, we work relentlessly to provide additional opportunities for our pupils. We often forget to shout about the amazing opportunities that we have been involved in from Netball and Hockey matches to opera performances, dance club and choir. Our wonderful pupils never fail to impress me with their can do attitude and professional approach to performance.

I'd like to send out my congratulations to the pupils and to you for the effort and commitment shown in supporting these opportunities throughout the year.

So many opportunities to get involved with

We would like to wish Mrs Howells well as she takes time to welcome her new family addition. We can't wait to meet her son when he arrives and hope that she gets a couple of weeks to relax before his arrival.

Good luck to our lovely Year 6s

I am always proud of our lovely year 6's and this year is no exception. Constance, Perry, Harvey, George, Edward, Emily, Alex and Joe, you have been fabulous ambassadors for the school, we will miss you all dearly! Do keep in touch. I can't wait to see your grown up secondary school first day photos. I know that you will all be fabulous!

Class structure for September

Excitingly, we are able to split KS2 in the afternoons for non-core subjects and Science! So we have been working hard with the Trust to create new curriculum plans that support sequential knowledge acquisition.

As you will be aware many of our staff have trained with us at Ingoldsby and we host initial teacher training students throughout the year and have built up a good reputation with Bishop Grosseteste University. Miss Newton who has been working on her education studies degree and will be training in role in Year 3/4. I am so proud of her hard work and achievements.

We warmly welcome Ms Staniland and Miss Sharples to the Ingoldsby team.

Mrs Michelle Bland, Miss Alicia Sharples, Mrs Catherine Staniland and Mrs Eldred will be supporting teaching and learning across the school. Their invaluable work teaching groups, provisioning intervention and precision teaching often goes unseen but they are such a valuable asset to the school.

I will not be assigned to a class so that I can mentor and coach staff across the school.

We have signed up to My Family Coach which is a site full of information about various topics for parents from puberty to behaviour.
