History Of Pugs in the olden Days Pugs looked a lot different. They were bred by ruling families In China. The breeds were loved by Chinese employees. Pugs were kept in luxury and they were guarded by soldiers. They were later spread to other parts of asia. The earliest history of pugs is unknown.
Pugs are descended from dogs that were imported to Europe from China in the 16th Century. Pugs were well known at European courts and reportedly become the official dog of the House of Orange in 1572.
