EECC Classroom Spotlight

Meet EECC's new art teacher, Taylor Nisius. Ms. Nisius works at both Edgewood Early Childhood Center and Edgewood Primary School. She is a 2018 graduate of Edgewood High School and a 2022 graduate of Miami University. Ms. Nisius is currently teaching our Kindergarten students about Primary Colors. She loves working at Edgewood and making a difference in the community that she grew up in.

EPS Students Explored the Farm

Miss Mays' class took a field trip to Niederman Family Farm. Students engaged in free play, explored the corn maze, took a hayride, and even brought home their very own pumpkin! It was a great day for students to relate things they saw to things they learned in the classroom. Most of all, the students enjoyed playing and exploring at the farm.

Edgewood Intermediate Hosts PBIS Incentive

EIS celebrated its Quarter 1 PBIS Incentive with a Fall Fun Fest. Students had to meet specific PBIS criteria in order to attend. Many students dressed up in their favorite costumes, participated in a dance party, played games, smiled in the photo booth, and did crafts! In their classrooms, students enjoyed a Halloween drink and snack. EIS students had a great day and loved having over 30 Edgewood High School students join them and assist with the fun!

EMS Tutoring Program

EMS is proud of the work and continued growth of our student tutoring program. Under the supervision of Mrs. Hunt and Mr. Stratton, and in conjunction with the staff of Edgewood Intermediate School, the group continues to thrive. EMS student tutors spend an hour every Wednesday after school working with EIS students. This year we currently have 8 middle school tutors placed at EIS with 30 currently on a waitlist. Thank you to both of our counselors and to the host teachers at EIS for providing our students with this opportunity.

EHS Introduces Karl to Students

Edgewood City Schools Director of Social Emotional Learning, John Cecere, worked with Pet Partners of Greater Cincinnati to bring a unique experience to Edgewood High School. On Monday, October 24th students had the opportunity to interact with Karl, a therapy dog, and his handler Alicia Johnson. Ms. Johnson lives in the community and volunteers with Pet Partners. She also has a 6th grader in EMS and a 2nd grader at EPS. Therapy dogs will be at Edgewood High School on the first and fourth Monday of each month. EHS students enjoyed their visit and are excited to welcome Karl and Alicia back in November.
