BIOGRAPHY

A.L. aka All Lyrics was born in Brooklyn, New York from Colombian parents. He grew up in the golden era of hip hop. Started as a bboy dancer then graduated to prolific mcee. Around this time the hungry mcee went from freestyling to writing songs and eventually doing shows! His first chance of getting heard was at the famous Neurican Poets Cafe back when Bobbito the barbor Garcia was the host!! This sparked him to perform every where in new york! His ambition landed him to being picked to be on the legendary album Lyricists Lounge! Also being able to connect with the Beatnuts and collaborated with DJ Honda, Eminen, Talib Kweli and underground fav Punch and Words.

As the Lounge album was being made he was involved in developing a show for tv. This show was picked up by MTV. And it was called the Lyricists Lounge Show where he started to act. He was hired as a writer and being involved with production open a new door for him. Around this time a good friend by the name of Willie Esco had a successful clothing line and opened a music label where he got signed to. So when 911 occurred his project got put on the shelf due to the economy! Things happen for a reason and he was heard by this Latin producer Andre Levin who had a band named Yerba Beuna! He recorded two songs and embarked on a world tour. The song Guajira was chosen for a few movie soundtracks Dirty Dancing 2, Honey, Cheaper By the dozen Third Watch and Entourage. His nomination for a Grammy in 2003 took him to the next level. He then dropped his solo project on his own. A mixtape called Where im from hosted by Dj Camilo.

He went on to ghostwrite for many well known artist and took off from being in front of the camera. His passion for film started to grow when he began to work at National Geographic producing a few episodes. Still recording music he connected with Dj Rob Dinero where he started to do remix’s for big pop stars as he added 8 bars to these pop records that they converted to hip hop.

Now he is back in studio and has dropped several singles with videos he directed. He also connected with good friend Eli Salome Diaz who is queens graffiti artist who did the Nas mural and Video Music Box mural for Ralph Mcdaniels.

Eli was doing a mural for the artist known as Notorious B.I.G for his 25th anniversary of his death. The mural was done on Christopher Wallace block. Eli asked A.L. do a tribute song for B.I.G. A.L. Created a tribute using one of Biggie iconic songs Kick in the Door where he give praise and cleverly name songs titles that Biggie had on each album. The unveiling occurred on March 9 where every news station was on hand to see the two graffiti illustrations. Now that being said the 50th anniversary was coming up in May 21 and Eli got the city to grant them a block party on Biggies block.

Along with the block party a second tribute was made but much different from the first, this one was called Frank White paying homage to the cult classic Movie King of New York A.L. a few scenes from the movie adding Dayz Lyn an up in coming female artist from the west coast. The master piece was released with a video on May 21, 2022.
