From the Principal

Spring is here! Warm weather and bright days are ahead of us. We are packing up TCAP materials as I type this. Thank you for encouraging your child to do his/her best and promoting good attendance.

For the safety and security of our students and staff, we will only be inviting parents to participate in DARE graduation, Living History Museum and Awards Day. Parents will be required to sign in at the office for these events with a photo id. To avoid long lines, you may come in before the event to pre-scan your id. If you choose to take advantage of this, please come between the hours of 9-2.

I want to thank each of you for your support this year! These kids are amazing and fun. I hope you have an enjoyable summer with your family. Whether your travel or stay at home, time off from school offers quality family time that is so valuable to your child's development. Time for fun and play is integral to raising kids who are well rounded, happy and self-motivated.

Enjoy your summer! We'll see you in July!

2023-2024 School Year News and Updates

Parents may submit input for their child's placement for the 23-24 school year. You may describe the environment your child best learns in. Please DO NOT ask for teachers by name, rather focus on the qualities that make for an optimal learning environment for your child. You may email input to rstorment@dcstn.org or send a letter in.

This is the dress code policy stated in our student handbook. We will be more strict on sweatshirts than we have been the past 3 years. We will have a school spirit wear sale in September 2023.All pants, skirts, jumpers, shorts, and skorts must be black, khaki or navy. Skirts, skorts, shorts, and jumpers should be walking length (no shorter than fingertip length). Shirts may be sleeveless, short, or long-sleeved, but must have a collar. Turtlenecks are acceptable. Solid colored sweaters and/or sweatshirts/hoodies (with no or small emblem/writing) may be worn over collared shirts.

Teacher Appreciation Week

May 8th-May 12th

Teacher Appreciation Week is all about celebrating our educators and thanking them for the amazing work they do. The reason we do it? We love our students! We believe in the importance and power of education, and we work to give strength to the voices of tomorrow.

Please take a moment this week to write a note to your child's teacher. We love to get notes from students too.
