February’s Health Observances are Heart Health and African American History Month
February is African American History Month, a time to recognize and celebrate the hard-fought achievements, sacrifices, and contributions made by African Americans to every aspect of our country’s diverse cultural heritage. As we celebrate, African American History Month, it’s important to recognize American Heart Month, a time to pay special attention to understanding, preventing, and treating heart disease – the leading cause of death in the nation.
