The following projects are from my 2018 internship at OctoCog Marketing + Design

Logo Design

City Side Diner

When City Side Diner in Beverly, MA was brought under new ownership, they reached out to OctoCog for new branding. I was asked to ideate and help define a direction for their new logo.

From numerous iterations, there were four primary directions that stood out. These directions incorporated cues inspired by classic diner signage, but wouldn't feel out of place in a modern cafe or diner.

I chose my favorite direction and added a pop of color. At this stage, I wanted to maintain a minimal color pallet.

A quick rendering was created to help envision what City Side Diner Merchandise would look like with the new logo.

Creative Collective

Creative Salem is a business that focused on cultivating the creative community in Salem, MA. As part of an effort to broaden their reach, Creative Salem was rebranded as Creative North Shore and Creative Collective Massachusetts. Part of the rebrand was a pair of new logos. I was tasked with designing the logo for Creative Collective.

Social Media Event Artwork & Print

While at OctoCog, I was responsible for designing social media and event graphics for a number of local restaurants, as well as for OctoCog.

Notch Meters For Liters

For the 1st anniversary of their running club, Notch Brewing wanted an infographic summarizing some key statistics from the first year of the brewery's running club to share on social media.

2017 Thanksgiving Last Call Graphic for OctoCog

Artwork for an OctoCog post reminding patrons of local brewery hours before Thanksgiving.

Hot Wing Eating Contest Event Graphic

A social media event graphic for a hot wing eating contest, sponsored by OctoCog, Kokeshi, and Guaranteed Rate. I created the chicken wing illustration by printing out a picture of a chicken wing, drawing in by hand where the lines would go, and then tracing my line work in Adobe Illustrator.

Creative Salem Rack Card

To inform Salem residents about the perks of having a Creative Salem membership, Creative Salem commissioned OctoCog to create a rack card design that both embodied the essence of Salem but provided sufficient membership information. I utilized a number of photos from Creative Salem's Archive that best represent Salem as a historic, culturally rich, and creative city.
