Please find below detailed explanations of the steps to follow.

Brushing your teeth properly

Pre-school students learned this week that it is important to brush their teeth. But not only that, they also learned that this process needs to be done in several steps. They were very happy to do this activity at school.

Adventures don't stop in KG1

Your children participate in the organization of the class by respecting their responsibilities (daily tasks), they also learn to be responsible at home and in their community.

In addition, this week in MSD the students worked on the spread of germs. Mr. Antoine did a painting activity where he transferred orange paint on all the students' hands to explain to them that this is how germs spread and how we get sick. They then learned that in order to avoid this, they had to learn to wash their hands and that if all the orange paint had disappeared, then our hands were clean.

Tools for learning

This week, we introduced our new unit of inquiry, "How We Express Ourselves": Playing helps us express our ideas and develop our understandings. We provided students with different games to discover how they would respond and explore.

How does the world work ?

As part of the "How the World Works" unit of inquiry, P1 students learned about the forest environment and its components. They learned to classify animals that do and do not live in the forest.

Fossil energy model by Danah Rady

As part of Unit 1 of C1 Science, a beautiful model was made by student Danah Rady in C1C to remind us of the origin of fossil fuels like coal and oil.

Thanks to this model, she reminded us that fossil fuels come from the transformation of plants that have sunk under the weight of the sediments that cover them over many millions of years.

A big congratulations to Danah and to Malak Ihab in C1D who supported her throughout her work process!

Extraction of the DNA molecule from bananas

To discover the mystery of the diversity of our individual traits, C4 students performed a practical work "Extraction of the DNA molecule" from bananas, following the steps of a protocol.

All the groups succeeded in extracting this DNA molecule which is the support of all our genetic information and which allows the manufacturing of proteins which manage almost all our biological functions in our body.

Very good work C4.
