Step 1: Remove The Seeds
Set aside the seeds as you hollow out your jack-o'-lantern.
Step 2: Wash Them Off
Put your seeds in a colander and rinse them off with water.
Step 3: Separate The Seeds
Try to separate the seeds from the pulp as much as possible. Then rinse them again.
Step 4: Dry The Seeds
Dry off the seeds with a towel. The dryer they are the quicker the roasting process will be.
Step 5: Season The Seeds
Toss the seeds in a bowl with the seasoning of your choice. For these I used a mix of olive oil, salt, garlic powder, paprika and black pepper.
Step 6: Roast The Seeds
Spread out the seasoned pumpkin seeds on a lined baking sheet. Then put them in the oven at 350°F for about 12 to 15 minutes, tossing them every 5 minutes to make sure they are evenly roasted. When the seeds are a golden brown color, they are ready!
Step 7: Enjoy!
Put the seeds in a bowl or container and enjoy your healthy fall snack.
