Step 1. Run EASYTERM and UZ7HO soundmodem. Running EASYTERM should automatically run the UZ7HO soundmodem, if it doesn't auto run, then just go to the (C:\UZ7HO1) folder and run the UZ7HO soundmodem.

Step 2. Click on Connect.

Click on Connect.

Step 3. If you have access to the PAREDN network, you have the following Chat Server Gateway to connect to. Connect to the nearest Chat Server Gateway. (DU3FS-12 Sta Maria), (DW1IRF-12 Navotas), (DW1OTT-12 Imus Cavite) @ 145.220 and (DX3H-12 Malolos),(DU1AJ-12 Tondo Manila) and (DW1IRF-12 Navotas) @ 144.44. You can use the (+) Sign next to the CallTo: dropdown to add Callsign of Chat Server to save on the dropdown list. Before you click on Connect make sure you are on the correct frequency.

Step 4. Once you connect to a PAREDN Chat Server you will get a Prompt from the server. See below Prompt from the Chat Server. You can type /h and this will provide you with the Command Summary. The Chat server does Bridging to other Chat Servers. This usually takes about a minute or two. All stations that connect to the PAREDN Chat Server can now have a text messaging QSO on air.
