Central Park's Relay For Life team, the Central Park Moon Walkers, raised OVER $10,000 for the American Cancer Society in 2022. Our fundraising efforts included a school coin drive, teachers who registered for our team, bounce house ticket sales at Relay For Life in July and Brett Seamster's participation in a community-wide Power In Purple campaign. We have multiple cancer survivors on our staff and are proud to be involved with such a meaningful cause.
Members of the Dow High School Japanese Club volunteered at the Japan Festival at the Japanese Cultural Center and Tea House in Saginaw on September 18th. The members of the club helped run the childrens’ games table and also created a trifold that gave information about two of the three writing systems of the Japanese language, hiragana and katakana. The annual event was attended by many people around the state.
