What is an Adobe & Microsoft Digital Event?

The Victorian Government have provided extensive access to a wide range of Adobe and Microsoft applications to help engage students in all areas of the curriculum. Education experts Dr Tim Kitchen (Adobe) and Troy Waller (Microsoft) are leading a team of Adobe Education Leaders and Microsoft Innovative Educators to help share the value of these digital creativity and productivity tools and demonstrate what is available and how they are being used to enhance teaching and learning in any subject.

The event

  • 3.30 PM - afternoon tea supplied
  • 4.00 PM - Opening session by Adobe & Microsoft
  • 4.45 PM - DLTV & Arc promotion
  • 5.00 PM - 4 x 10 min taster sessions led by Adobe Education Leaders and Microsoft Innovative Educators
  • 6.00 PM - conclude

Key Presenters

Dr Tim Kitchen (Adobe)

Following 23 years teaching Primary, Secondary & Higher Education, Dr Tim Kitchen has been Adobe’s Senior Education Specialist for Asia Pacific since 2013. He regularly liaises with schools & universities focusing on enhancing creativity in education. He also manages the Adobe Education leadership and active use programs throughout Australasia and helps lead the Adobe Education Exchange (https://edex.adobe.com) which now has over one million members. A passionate advocate for creativity in education, and a well-recognised education thought leader in Australia, Tim is a regular presenter for a wide range of national and international education events.

Troy Waller (Microsoft)

Troy is a Learning Delivery Specialist & Accessibility Lead for Microsoft Education Australia. He works directly with teachers and school leaders to better reach learning outcomes and transform classroom time through technology. He helps schools plan and implement long to medium-term professional development strategies around the use of educational technologies. He leads both virtual and face-to-face sessions inspiring teachers towards the digital transformation of education. Troy is passionate about how technology can be used to make classrooms more equitable and inclusive and worked with numerous schools around the country to achieve this. He taught in Asia for over a decade, working for both government and International Schools before returning to Australia in 2012. His knowledge extends from the Australian Curriculum to the International Baccalaureate.
